Notebook Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Introduction

Notebook respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your data, permissions, account information, analytics, subscriptions, and backup functionality.

Your Notes & Media

Your notes, images, voice recordings, and other personal content remain private. Notebook does not access, read, analyze, sell, or share the content of your notes for advertising or marketing purposes. Your notes and associated media are primarily stored on your device. If you choose to use a backup feature, the data required for that backup is transferred to the selected backup service.

Google Sign-In

Notebook uses Google Sign-In for authentication and backup functionality. Information associated with your Google account, such as your email address, may be processed and stored as necessary to identify your account and provide app services.

Google Drive Backup

If you choose to use Google Drive backup, Notebook accesses Google Drive only as necessary to create, manage, and restore backups created by the app. Notebook does not use Google Drive access to read or analyze unrelated personal files. Google Drive backup functionality is optional and is only used when authorized by the user.

Permissions

Notebook may request access to features and data on your device, including photos or media, audio files, microphone, notifications, storage where applicable, and internet connectivity. These permissions are requested only when necessary to provide app functionality, such as creating voice recordings, attaching or managing media, displaying notifications, and performing backup and restore operations.

Analytics & Usage Data

Notebook may collect limited technical and usage information to understand how the app is used and to improve its functionality and user experience. This information may include app preferences, note statistics, app version, device or technical information, subscription status, and app usage information such as the last opened date. Notebook does not collect or analyze the contents of your notes for analytics purposes.

Crash Reporting

Notebook uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify crashes, errors, and technical problems. Crash reports may include technical information about the app and device that helps diagnose and fix problems. This information is used for app stability and troubleshooting and does not include the contents of your notes.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Notebook uses Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. These services may process purchase and subscription information necessary to verify purchases, determine subscription status, and provide access to premium features. Notebook does not directly collect or store your payment card or banking information. Payments are processed by Google Play and its associated payment services.

Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are taken to protect your information and backup data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

User Control & Data Deletion

You may remove locally stored app data by deleting your notes and media, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the application. You may also delete backups stored in your Google Drive through your Google account where applicable.

Third-Party Services

Notebook uses third-party services to provide certain functionality. These may include Google Sign-In, Google Drive APIs, Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics, Google Play services, Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat. These third-party services may process limited account, technical, usage, diagnostic, or transaction information as necessary to provide their respective services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Children's Privacy

Notebook is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect the contents of users' notes for analytics, advertising, or marketing purposes.

Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to Notebook, new features, third-party services, or legal and regulatory requirements.
